Social Grade

The Social Grade format at the New Zealand Deaf Games aims to bring together friends and families of the Deaf Community by providing them the opportunity to compete at the New Zealand Deaf Games at a social level. Athletes will be restricted to those who are members of their local Deaf Club or Deaf Society, or if they are under the age of 17, then they will qualify through their parent’s Deaf Club, Deaf Society, or Regional Association for Deaf Children membership.

There is no hearing loss requirement for athletes that wish to compete in Social Grade.
